High level meeting reviews security measures post Sept 13 blast

IMPHAL, September 15: A high level security meeting of the state security forces chaired by Additional Director General of Police (Law and order/Ops) PM Goud along with officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), was convened today at the office chamber of ADGP located at 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles.

The meeting was convened in connection with the recent bomb blast that killed nine construction workers from Assam and injured 13 others at Khoyathong on September 13 evening.

Sources further said that the meeting was convened under the instruction of DGP Manipur, MK DAS to review security arrangement besides charting out preventive measures and to avoid the recurrence of such unwanted incidents.

High ranking police officials led by Superintendent of Police of the four valley districts, Commandants of Manipur Rifles battalions and India Reserved Battalion, also attended the meeting.

The meeting started from 9:30am and lasted exactly one hour. However, there are no details of what transpired during the meeting.
