IMPHAL, September 11: A hoax bomb created panic along the Tiddim road today at around 9.40 am after an unattended carry bag was found lying at a road side of the Tiddim road at Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai.
The incident occurred just minutes after, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, crossed the route to attend an official programme at Bishnupur district.
Soon as the bag was found all vehicular movements was barred from crossing the route by the police as a safety measure.
Later the traffic restriction was lifted after a team of bomb expert who arrived at the scene confirmed that it was a hoax bomb. The items that was recovered was some blankets and clothings.
