JIRIBAM, September 16: There has been repeated reminders made to the ADC Jiribam, Settlement Office and EO Jiribam Municipal against allotment of land to any individual or organization at Jiribam Ward no 4 and 5, and if in case there is any process of land acquisition in the said area, than the local club can be informed, said Lamlen Evergreen Club, Babupara (LEC) during a press meet today.

While appealing a particular militant outfit not to interfere in any land deal as such, president N Kunjamohan Singh while addressing the media stated that if Kh Birajit Singh, a resident of the village had  used the name of the particular outfit to acquire CS Dag No 1024/1098 khas land measuring 0.0405 hectares situated in 13-Babupura village, then it would be unfortunate.

Demanding Kh Birajit Singh to retreat his bid of acquiring the land unethically, the president of the club said the villagers would not sit idle if the individual persists with his act.

He then appealed armed outfits not to interfere in the matter of land deal and cause hindrances to the development works of the village.

Today’s meet was also attended by N Shanti Singh, Vice president LEC club; Th Birachandra Singh, gen secy and Th Rajen Singh, fin secy of the club.
