IMPHAL, Sept 9: The muster roll and work charged employees of the department of Minor Irrigation today staged a sit in protest at Lamphel demanding the release of the due salaries of 330 employees including 19 muster roll and 311 work-charged employees.
The sit in protest made their demands of releasing back drop pay from April to July 2012 and the due pay for nine months from December 2012 onwards, to provide arrears of ROP 2010 which were already enjoyed by other Engineering department of the government of Manipur, constitute pay provision so as to make timely release of salary and provide enough departmental fund, regularize the long sufferer muster roll and work charged employees for the last 25 years and to honour their rights.
