LAMKA, September 19: The co-ordinator, information and publicity dept of the 3rd World Zomi Convention (WZC) Paulianmung in a press statement today said that preparations for the 3rd WZC is on track with the objective of uniting the Zo Suan who are divided by artificial boundaries.
The statement say that the convener of the committee R Sanga gave a progress report on the preparation and reassured that the VIPs who are invited for the occasion will be participating in the convention.
The convener also said that the presidents of the United Naga Council (UNC), All Manipur United Club Organisation (AMUCO) and Zo Reunification Organisation (ZORO)`s will address the convention while troupes from the Meetei Thang-ta dance, Meetei cultural dance, Muslim cultural dance and Naga cultural dance will also be held.
The statement further informed that the Joint Secy of North East Sambhu Singh will also be participating as a guest apart from the confirm invited guest like Union Minister Oscar Fernandes, state Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and all MLAs of CCpur district.
The statement continued that as part of the convention, the worship dept will organize a mass prayer at Hiangtal Lamka Evangelical Baptist Convention Church (EBCC) on September 21.
