IMPHAL, October 19: Base on specific information, troops of 18 Sikh of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of headquarters IGAR (south) launched an operation in general area of Patsoi in Imphal East district and apprehended one UNLF cadre on October 18, 2013, said a press release of the PRO, HQ IGAR (South).
The arrested UNLF was identified as one L Cpl Nongbram (30), No 2073 batch No 36, son of Ch Ibohal Singh of Patsoi part 3 in Imphal West district, it said.
One 9 mm pistol with magazine and two live rounds of 9 mm were recovered from his possession and handed over to Patsoi police station along with the recovered items for necessary legal action, it said.
