IMPHAL, Oct 5: Personnel of the 24th Assam Rifles, Tengnoupal post arrested an individual with nine live rounds of AK- 47 ammunition today during a routine checking at Sita Junction along the National Highway Number 2 Imphal-Moreh Road under Tengnoupal Police Station Chandel district at around 4:30 pm, informed a source.
The source said that a team of 24 AR arrested one Inaocha of Yairipok with nine live rounds of AK-47 Ammunition while he was coming towards Imphal in a red Alto Car MN01-W-7655 at Sita junction.
A few minutes later, the team arrested one Koko of Lamkhang Lamkhai, Chandel along with 1670 World is Yours (WY) tablets while coming towards Imphal in a vehicle bearing regd number MN01 X 9517 from the same area.
