ATDSU submits charter of demands to CM

    IMPHAL Oct 4 (NNN): The All Tribal Disabled Students’ Union today presented a charter of demands to the Chief Minister in a meeting at the Chief minister`s bungalow.

    The demands included enhancing of Disability Scholarships and setting up of a special school with hostel facilities for the disabled tribal students at any of the tribal districts of Manipur for which memorandum has been submitted on 22 January and 19 June of this year respectively.

    The two-hour long meeting witnessed the presence of Govindas Konthoujam, Minister Commerce and Industries, Sericulture and Animal Husbandry, Minister Hemochandra Minister PHED, Labour and Employment and Principal Secretary Social Welfare along with the members of the students union.

    The chief minister gave a positive sign to the various demands met by the union but the final decision of its approval will be given on the 30th of this month.
