ATSUM for welfare of student community: ATSUM Chief

KANGPOKPI, October 5: “Troubles and problems always accompany the young leaners or students and as a leader of the student community we are always happy to help the student in their problems since ATSUM always stand for the welfare of the student community”, noted Emboi Serto, president All Tribal Students` Union Manipur.

Emboi Serto was speaking as chief guest on the closing ceremony of the week long XVIIth Sports` Week 2013 of Mount Everest College, Senapati held today at the college campus.

Apart from the tribal student apex body ATSUM chief who graced the occasion as chief guest, Senapati District Students` Association president LR John attended the closing ceremony as guest of honour along with ATSUM gen secy Marahang and secy fin Hemang Haokip on the dice.

The week-long XVIIth Sports` Meet of Mount Everest College, one of the leading colleges in Senapati district kicked off on September 30, 2013 at the college campus with various games and sports competition carried out till the closing day.

Highlighting various problems faced by the student communities regarding their scholarships, Emboi Serto urged the student community to be open and feel free to approach the student body whenever they counter any problems.

Encouraging the student congregate at the closing ceremony to excel in this competitive world Serto asserted, “We have never been born with excellence. It is only when we strive that we can excel in everything we do”.

Speaking at the function, SDSA chief LR John appreciated and lauded the co-operation of the college authority towards the office of SDSA and urged the students to carry forward the importance and value of discipline and importance of team work and of building friendship.
