IMPHAL, Oct 19: As part of its continuing drive against illicit drugs, the Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) in collaboration with CADA Langdum Unit, Nishaband Meira Paibi Langdum, Urup Arapti Meira Paibi Joint Action Committee and Urup Meira Paibi seized 62 litres of local made alcohol from Langdum Lairembi Leikai on October 17 around 11.30 am.
A press statement from the CADA said the alcohol was seized from two persons identified as Salam Ibotombi, 45, son of (L) S Lairen of Langdum Makha Leikai and Lukrakpam Sunil, 25, son of (L) L Tomcha of Keirao Makha Leikai.
Saying that the CADA along with the other organizations would continue drive against drugs in Langdum area, it further appealed the people of Langdum to extend support to its campaign and drive.
