IMPHAL, October 14: The Manipur Minority and OBC Economic Development Society (MOBEDS), today held a counselling program for tutors for a six months remedial coaching for educationally backward minority students of the state.
During the session, order copies of the tutors were distributed.
Speaking at the function, Parliamentary Secretary, MOBC and SC/science technology, MD Amin Shah said that the six month coaching should be extended to one year to make it more effective.
He continued that the coaching was started in the year 2006 with the aim to uplift the minority students to succeed in their board exams.
The remedial coaching will be initiated on October 20 at Moirang and on October 25 at Jiribam, he said and added that for the next session the department is trying to start coaching for OBC and SC.
