IMPHAL, October 6: A 22 member team of the 14th Finance Commission arrived in the state on a three day visit from Kohima this late evening to discuss the developmental works to be undertaken during the 14 Finance Commission in the state.
The team was led by the commission’s chairman Dr Y V Reddy.
The other delegates of the commission in the state include Member Professor Ahbijit Sen, Member Sushama Nath, Member Dr M Govinda Rao, Member Dr Suditpto Mundel, Secretary A N Jha, Joint Secretary V S Senthil, Joint Secretary M S Bhatia, Economic Advisor Pinaki Chakarborty, Director Sanjay Prasad, Director OSD to Chairman Deepak Narain, Director Naresh Mohan Jha, Deputy Director Sunil Bareja, Assistant Director M Panda PPS Senjeev Kumar, Economic Officer Sachil Kumar Yadav, Assistant Roshan Kumar, Deputy Director Shyam S Verma, Assistant Director Raj Kumar, Economic Officer Sandeep Kumar, GVSSL Narshimham PPS and Assistant Ramesh Maharana.
The commission delegates will convene a meeting tomorrow at the main conference hall of Old Secretariat which will be attended by the State Chief Minister O Ibobi his council of ministers, Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga, Director General of Police Manipur MK Das, Additional Chief Secretary and other high ranking officers of the state.
During the meeting, the team will discuss the developmental works to be taken up in the state during the 14 Finance commission.
On October 8, the team will also meet with representatives of the all Political Parties in the state, Panchayati Raj Institutes, Urban Local Bodies, Autonomous District Council and the Trade unions at the same venue.
