Free health camp held at Chandel

    MOREH, October 6: A day-long free health camp under the National Rural Health Mission organized by the District Health Mission Society under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Chandel Dr Ibomcha Singh along with a team of Chandel District National Rural Health Mission staffs was held today at S. Phunal village in Chandel district.

    During the camp, around 200 persons were given free treatment along with providing medicines free of cost.

    Speaking on the sidelines of the health camp, Village Chief S Phunal expressed gratitude to the District Health Mission Society, Chandel District and medical team for organizing such a health camp for the first time in the village from the government`s side.

    Meanwhile, another one day free medical camp was also held at Thounju Chigonlei Makhong Development Clubs (TCMDC) ground, organized by TCMDC and with the help of Canchi Industry proprietor Newton Ningomba.

    Plastic surgeon Dr H Nabakeshor, and managing director Advance Innovation Hospital, Place Compound ortho-surgeon Dr Th Ibomcha Singh attended the camp.

    Around 147 patients had their health check-up and free medicines were distributed during the camp.
