Gogocha hattrick brings SSU back to the top

    IMPHAL, October 21: Gogocha scored thrice to keep Southern Sporting Union, Singjamei top of the MSL table with a comprehensive 5-1 win over Kuki Sporting Club, Lambulane at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak today.

    Md Sahidur Rehman teed up the win with his opener at the very beginning of the match in the 3rd minute.

    However, at the 15th minute of the match Hanglen Max of KSC found the net with a pass off A Minthing.

    The match ended in a 1-1 score by the end of the first half.

    Gogocha scored the second goal for the winning team off a pass from Md Riyaskhan in the 61st minute.

    Gogocha carried out the ball while intercepting it, Nelson Kom of KSC created a foul in the 18 yard box.

    Md Imran Khan found the net with a penalty shot.

    Gogocha scored his second goal with the pass of Imran khan at the 88th minute of the match.

    Moreover, at the extra time Thomas Khup Vaiphei of KSC made a foul while K Kiran of the winning team carried a ball in the 18 yard box. The referee L Ajit gave a penalty, which Gogocha scored and made his hattrick.

    The second match of the day played between NEROCA and MPSC ended inconclusive today with the match being abandoned just 4 minutes remaining and MPSC leading by 1-0.

    The remaining 4 minutes of the match will be played tomorrow at 8.30 am at the Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak. The match will be resumed from the point of the Indirect free kick awarded in favour of the MPSC team for the offside offence.

    L Ibothoi Singh scored the lone goal for MPSC, when NEROCA’s goalkeeper Thanglinpao Khongsai collecting the ball but cross the goal line, taking this opportunity Ibothoi found the net at 12th minute of the match.
