IMPHAL, October 11: Manipur Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar has greeted the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Durga Asthami, 2013.
In his message, the Governor said Durga Puja, one of the most important festivals especially of the Hindus has arrived again much to the delight and reverence of millions of people in the country and in Manipur also it reinforces emotional integrity among the people of different walks of life.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh also extended his warm greetings and good wishes to all the people of Manipur on the joyous occasion of Durga Puja.
A message of the CM stated that the festival of Durga Puja reminds the people of the eternal message of victory of good over evil.
“May this festival provide an inspiration for us to follow the path of righteousness and also reinforce the bond of brotherhood and amity among all sections of the society in the state for a more peaceful and prosperous Manipur,” the CM said in his message.
