Idul-Zuha greetings

    IMPHAL, Oct 14: The Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India has greeted the people of the state especially the Muslim brethren on the joyous occasion of Idul-Zuha which falls on October 16.

    In a statement, it wished for a peaceful co-existence among the different community, unity of hill and valley and to usher in peace and development with the coming of the festival.

    Meanwhile, the party in the statement also condoled the untimely demise of Ngangom Bihari, former leader of Imphal City District Council, CPI who passed away on October 13 from a prolonged illness at his residence at Thangmeiband Lilashing Khongnongkhong.

    In a separate release, the United Muslims Council (UCM) Manipur has also greeted the people of the state on the biggest festival of Muslim community, Idul-Zuha.

    A statement of UCM wished the people for a prosperous, peace and welfare state with the coming of the festival and further appealed the concerned organizations to relax the bandh call on the day.
