IMPHAL, October 11: The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Students’ Union (IGNTUSU) has vehemently condemned in the strongest term the incident of the assault on Dr Shukhdeba Sharma, Asst Prof Dept of Social Work, IGNTU by one Prof Moirangthem Mani Meitei, a faculty member of Manipur University who is also the Director of Academic Staff on October 10 during the orientation programme course.
In a statement, the students’ union demanded that responsible persons and authority should make clarifications and reasons for the unwanted incident without any further delay and that the Director should not be given any responsibility until the matter is resolved amicably.
