KANGPOKPI, October 11: In yet another illegal liquor drive along NH-2, a team of Kangpokpi Police led by Officer-in-Charge L Vaiphei seized 298 litres of illegal DIC liquor today evening at around 4:20 pm near Daili Village.
According to a Police source, the illegal items were seized during frisking and checking along the highway from the possession of Kh.Tombi Devi(60), w/o (L). Kh.Joy Singh and Chaobi(60), w/o (L). Mani Singh of Awang Sekmai respectively.
The seized items were brought in an Autorickshaw bearing Regd.No.MNO3-A-2482 driven by one Lenboi Kipgen(27), S/o Lalkam Kipgen of Keithelmanbi(Paspati)Village, added the source.
Later the seized DIC liquor was destroyed in the presence of volunteers of local civil bodies.
