IMPHAL, October 5: Denouncing the government’s decision to privatize the Electricity Department and engage two outside firms, workers of the department will be registering demonstration protest at the complex of State Head Office, Chief Engineer Power on October 9, said a press release of the Manipur Electricity Employees’ Union (MEEU).
It then appealed to all to extend support to the movement and stand united to save the department from going into the hand of private companies.
