IMPHAL, October 23: Angry volunteers of Meetei Erol Eyek Loinasillon Apunba Lup (MEELAL) pulled down the banners at stalls at a three-day product expo produced by Micro enterprises operated by members of People Living with HIV and MARPs at Iboyaima Sanglen. Speaking to media persons at the spot, the president of MEELAL, S Tomba clarified that the reason for pulling down and burning the banners is for defying its request to insert Meitei Meiyek in such displays. The event was organized by Manipur Industry Development Council (MIDS) and sponsored by Manipur AIDS Control Society (MACS) and UNDP.
