IMPHAL, Oct 6: The Manipur Milk Producers Co-operative Union Ltd today set October 18 as the deadline for the concerned authorities to allow the newly elected Board of Directors to function.
Addressing media persons today, Milk Producer and Supplier and Co-operative Society, Ningthoukhong secretary P Gyaneshore announced that unless the government meet the set deadline, societies of six districts namely Bishnupur, Thoubal, Senapati, CCpur, Imphal East and Imphal West will stop supplying milk.
He said during the general body meeting of the Manipur Milk Producers Co-operative Union Ltd, eight Directors from the four valley districts and two from Senapati and Churachandpur were elected.
However, the concerned authorities have failed to allow the Directors to start their duties, he claimed.
