Mizoram convention fans unification of Zo communities

    KANGPOKPI, October 6: A Special Third World Zo-Reunification Convention was held at Vanapa Hall, Aizawl, Mizoram on October 4, organized by the Zo-Reunification Organization (ZoRO) general headquarter, Zoram(Aizawl).

    Apart from ZoRO, noted political party leaders of Mizoram including the Ex-Chief Minister of the state Zoramthanga as well as representatives of the Women League of Chinland attended the convention where they unanimously passed several resolutions with regards to implementation of the United Nation`s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of 2007 etc.

    Among other resolutions passed during the convention, the Zo Indigenous Peoples resolved to strive together for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the Rights and Freedoms of all Indigenous Peoples and for achieving the just and most compelling requirement of a democratic society while realizing for uncountable and sustainable benefits for Indigenous Peoples of the world on the accomplishment of implementation of the 2007 UN Declaration on the Rights of the Indigenous Peoples(UNDRIP).
