IMPHAL, Oct 19 Another witness of climate change in form of massive mudslide hit at the Manipur`s border road connecting the Somra village of Myanmar and Tusom village under Ukhrul district.
The road connecting the affected village has been blocked following the massive mud slide and eruption of ‘black soil’ from a village hill along the Somra-Tusom route in north eastern district Ukhrul … , reports said.
This is the first such mud slide that has hit the Tangkhul village in history.
Meanwhile the Tusom village authority has informed media in Ukhrul town that the incident had nothing to do with rumour of erupting lava like materials and sought assistance from the government as sick and needy ones could not move forward. (Courtsey Manipur Update)
