IMPHAL, October 8: The Sainik School Imphal celebrated its 42nd Raising Day today with full pomp and gaiety with Leisangthem Ajit Singh, ex-senior Master of the school attending as the guest of honour for the function.
The function started with a wreath laying ceremony at the Martyrs’ Pillar where officers, staffs and cadets paid obeisance to the departed founder members of the school
To mark the celebration, a blood donation camp was organized under the aegis of a team of Doctors and staff from JN Hospital, Imphal in MI Room of the school on October 6 wherein around 45 staff of the school and their family members led by the school’s Principal and Registrar donated blood.
Gp Capt (Dr) DD Mishra, the school Principal briefed the audience consisting of ex-employees and alumni about the various outstanding achievements of the school in academics, co-curricular and games & sports.
The event concluded with a grand lunch (Bada Khanna) in the Cadets’ Mess.
