IMPHAL, October 23: A joint team of the Imphal East district police and 7th Manipur Rifle personnel conducted search operations in the different parts of the sensitive areas of Imphal East district from in search of miscreants present in the area.
According to reliable police sources, the search operation was carried out by the Imphal East District police team led by M Rajen Additional Superintendent of Police (Operation) Imphal East along with the 7th Manipur Rifle police personnel first at Sangakpam Paomei Colony under Heingang police station from 4:30 am to 7:30 am yesterday morning and individuals in the age group of 18 to 50 years were called out and properly verified one by one.
Altogether 14 individuals were detained for proper verification who failed to produce proper identification and handed over to the Heigang Police Station
Today evening Imphal East district police team along with the 7 MR Personal also conducted a cordon search operation at Bashikhong torban (riverbank) Irilbung police station from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
