IMPHAL, Oct 6: A team of Manipur Loumee Marup, Governor Road along with Lamboikhul village Ward member, H Sanayaima Singh of Uyumpok Gram Panchayat today visited the paddy fields of around twenty villages to inspect the condition of the paddy fields in the area, said a press release of the Manipur Loumee Marup.
The team found that there is evidence of stem borer in the paddy stalks at the visited fields, it said.
The farmers had also complained to the team that there is every likelihood that they would not be able to harvest their paddy this year due to the present condition.
