IMPHAL, October 23: The Tulbung Area Youth Organization (TAYO), Chandel district organized village sports meet at old Samtal village from October 15 t0 18, 2013, conveyed a press release of the PRO, HQ IGAR (South).
The sports meet was participated by ten teams of the village in volley ball and football for both men and women, adding that the events started with great enthusiasm and spirited cheering of respective teams by the spectators, it said.
The Assam Riffle team under the aegis of HQ 28 Sector AR and HQ IGAR (South) also participated in the competition, the release said and continued to add that it was an event conducted to encourage the youth and to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship.
In the Volley ball event, team from Hengshi stood first in male category and in female category, Old Samtal team stood first.
