MOREH, October 6: Acting on a credible input from the CDO Thoubal that there will be movement of some cadres of the banned outfit KCP (Noyon) from Myanmar side towards Moreh across the Indo Myanmar border, a joint team of CDO Moreh and Thoubal led by Inspector N Sadananda, camp commander of CDO Moreh under the supervision of H Balram, SDPO Moreh today launched a search operation along the border area from 12:00 pm onwards.
During the combined search operation, three cadres of the banned outfit, KCP (Noyon) were nabbed. The nabbed KPC cadres were identified as one Kshetrimayum Nganthoi Devi alias Lucy (19) daughter of Ksh Chaoba Singh of Moreh Khunou Ward No 9 (s/s Lance corporal, army No. 429), the second one Khundrakpam Rojit alias Washington (19) son of Kh Haithiba of Ningthoukhong Ward No 7 (rank private, army No. 466), and the third cadre one Chanamthabam Ingo Meetei alias Ngamkheingakpa (22) son of Ch Dajan of Pukhao Laipham Imphal East (rank private and army No. 488).
Further verification has revealed that Rojit alias Washington joined the party in 2009 and got training at Tanan inside Myanmar territory while Nganthoi alias Lucy and Ingo alias Ngamkheingakpa got training at Laipok camp in Myanmar after joining the party in the year 2008 and 2012 respectively.
The apprehended KCP cadres were handed over to OC Moreh police station for further necessary legal action.
