IMPHAL, October 20: Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel defeated Apunba Imagi Mangal, Khabam by 1-0 in the 40th match of Manipur State League (MSL) played at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
Both the teams were at nil till the end of the first half and the lone goal of TRAU was scored by N Dhananjoy at 67th minute after he received a long ball passed from S Ratan.
During the match, L Bikram of the winning team received yellow card after he committed foul at 57th minute.
With today’s win, TRAU has jumped to 4th place from 6th slot in the league table at the end of eight round of the tournament.
In another match, United Sporting Association, Khurai held Zomi Football Club, Churachandpur with 1-1 draw.
L Roshan scored the goal of ZFC just at the end of the first half by turning the ball passed from K Phalguni into a goal.
In the second half of the match, Romeo of USA committed a foul against Kh Naoton of ZFC and the referee, Ranjit shown him a yellow card at 50th minute.
The equalizer goal of ZFC came from T Kamkhllian as he converted a free kick into a goal at 51st minute.
