IMPHAL, Oct 27: The UNLF has claimed in a press release that the October 26 blast inside the PHED Water Reservoir at North AOC was carried out by a demolition team of the UNLF/MPA’s urban warfare group.
It said that the casualty of the security forces could have been more but since the blast site was an urban area, the MPA had tried to minimise any collateral damage and as such all such ‘booby trap’, are conducted without putting any splinters.
Further according to the statement, an IED which blasted at the Governor Road was also one such IED without splinters.
