IMPHAL, October 11: A day long workshop on Voluntary Blood Donation for NSS Programme Officers organized by the NSS Cell, Manipur University under the joint sponshorship of Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) and State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC), Manipur was held today at the Court Hall of Manipur University.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof HNK Sarma, Vice-Chancellor MU and presided over by Dr LR Kom, Director SBTC Manipur along with Dr Ch Ibohal Singh, program co-ordinator of the NSS Cell was also attended by 42 NSS Programme Officers of different NSS units of Manipur.
Taking part in the workshop, resource persons namely Dr K Surjit MO i/c Blood Bank, JNIMS and Dr L Tomcha Khuman, Deputy Director, MACS spoke on the topics ‘’Functions of Blood Bank’’ and ‘’Towards 100 percent VBD in Manipur’’ respectively.
