Writers` Study Tour to Tripura concludes

    IMPHAL, Oct 6: An 18-member team  which had left the state on September 29 on a Writers’ Study Tour to Tripura organized by Patriotic Writers’ Forum returned on October 5, informed a press release of Patriotic Writers’ Forum (PAWF), Manipur.

    Various seminars were held at different places of Tripura adding that the main highlight of the tour was the present day condition witnessed at Mekhalipara area which is believed to be the first place in Tripura to be inhabited by Meiteis.

    During the tour, the PAWF along with Ipak Films Production, Manipur; Lamyanba Organization, Agartala and Marup Organization, Lalshingmura also observed the 117th Birth Anniversary of Lamyanba Irabot at Lalshingmura where an eight feet tall statue of Lamyanba Irabot donated by the PAWF and Ipak Films Production was erected.

    A branch office of the forum with the name ‘’Patriotic Writers’ Forum, Tripura’’ was also opened at Lalshingmurada and formed an 13 members executive committee of the branch office, the release added.
