CCpur, November 9: In a fatal accident late last night, the second driver of a truck, Thangkhanlal, 18, son of Khamminthang of Tuinuphai village in Churachandpur lost his life allegedly due to failure of the steering of his vehicle at a place near Saikot village which is a few kilometers from the town.
The ill fated vehicle is a heavy duty Tata truck bearing registration no MN 02 A-6219, owned by Kaizathang, son of Kamzathang of Zoveng Lamka .The truck was being used to transport sand from Sugnu to Churachandpur town. Witness said that there were six occupants in the vehicle. Immediately after the accident volunteers of Hmar Youth Association (HYA helped the injured but Thangkhanlal died on the spot.
