IMPHAL, Nov 6: The Naga Women Union has announced that it strongly opposes the bail application of Md Sanayai of Mayai Keithel, Yairipok who has been charged with the rape of 60-year-old woman of K Somrei village. Chargesheets from the concerned police officer has been submitted to the Sessions Court of Thoubal, Manipur at Thoubal, it said before adding that the accused is applying for bail for the second time. The union stated that he should instead be awarded a befitting punishment as per the law of the land.
