Seminar on role of private school held

BISHNUPUR, November 3: A seminar on ‘the role of private school in Manipur to bring quality education in the present context’ cum the first school science exhibition competition was jointly organized by Public School Oinam and Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) at the premises of the school.

P Dhanakumar Singh, chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur attended the function as chief guest while Kh Yaima Singh ZEO of Zone IV, Bishnupur district as president and Dr RK Ranjan Singh formar register, Manipur University and Wangmayum Islauddin president DESAM as guests of honour respectively.

During the function, P Dhanakumar expressed that early education of the children is very important to the extent that it should be started from the womb of the mother adding that a child grown from the a harmonious family reflects good result in future.

Doren Khaba Nganba, former president of All Manipur Regional Private School Welfare Association and H Jayentakumar retired HOD of mathematics, DM College of Sciences was also delivered lectures as spokesperson in the function.

Doren shared in his speech that to develop education system and social development, we need to find out real blood of the state adding that real blood will only care the language, culture, education of the state in all aspects. He further mentioned that the teachers are motivators of the students by trying to pull out the potentials out of the students like Hanuman jumped sea and reached Lanka that was enabled after the motivation by Jamvuban.

Dr RK Ranjan Singh also shared that government should give emphasis on five essential component of governance viz., education, security, road communication, health care and essential commodities of the people, adding that if education fails all the remaining components will be failed.

Eleven teams participated in the seminar of the students in which I Amarjit Singh, class VI and O Nganthoiba class X won 1st for their model of winnowing, 2nd by I Pravin class V and Asha class IX in the model of vehicle without fuel and 3rd by O Panthao class X and O Roniya class X in the model of low cost radio without battery.
