The 4th Conference of KBC Circle 4 concludes

IMPHAL, November 24:  A four-day long 4th conference of Kuki Baptist Church (KBC) circle 4, Sadar Hills concluded today at Saitu Baptist Church, Sapermeina, Senapati district.   

Talking to media persons at the side line of the conference, Pastor Kamboi Chongloi said the conference was meant for enlightening the Christian people about the duties of Christianity in the society and outside. This conference will remind the Christian people of their duties during work hours and at office etc, he added.

The people should be aware of upholding their characters, moral behaviour and human nature to be true Christians, he stated.

This year theme is “You Are Light of The World” and the KBC circle 4 area is under the authority of pastor Kamboi Chongloi.

This year the conference was on a larger scale, he said, informing that the circle encompasses 22 churches and over 2000 people.

The unique feature of this year’s conference is the participation of elderly persons who spent the nights with their younger fellows.

He added that this time they have three renowned singers – Lhainei, Thengnu and Lenchung, two speakers – Reverend Dr Kh Kaijakham and Reverend Dr D Doungel and two devotional leaders Pastor Kamboi and Pastor Houpu.

The four day long function had participants from all churches in the Idol competition like Bible recitation categories and song categories consisting of ten members in each of the 10 groups in one category.

The people of the circle enjoyed the conference this year with happiness and joy. In the previous many years, we cannot organise the conference at full swing but this time all the people, young and old, worked hard for the grand success of the conference, he added.

In the valedictory function, the finalist of song competition and recitation groups presented their pick performance for the winner’s spot, enthralling the youth and old who were attired in their traditional costume.
