IMPHAL, November 3: Imphal to Phayeng Mini and Medium Transport Corporation Society has appealed the concerned authority of Siroi, which regulates auto service at Phayeng areas to comply with the memorandum signed with the Transport Deparetment on December 11, 2012 regarding the rules and regulations for plying along the route.
In a press conference held today at Manipur Press Club, secretary of the society, Angom Iraijao appealed the concern authority of Transport Department to stop the service of Siroi at Phayeng areas as per the memorandum submitted to the department and the understanding brought about between Imphal to Phayeng Mini and Medium Transport Corporation Society and Transport Department.
He further said there was an agreement between the Transport Department and the society but the Siroi has done against the agreement by acquiring permit from the department which is totally against the agreement.
Any kind of unwanted incident may occur between the society and other transport services if such act of the Siroi continues in the areas, he cautioned.
He continued that the society has been providing proper transport services to the public since 1997 and that the act of Siroi was unfortunate.
