Victim father alleges police investigation was partial

IMPHAL, November 7: Alleging that the police have failed to take appropriate actions and investigation in connection with a rape of 25 years old girl of Kwakta, the victim’s father, Md Hesamuddin, has lodged a complaint at the concerned police station to arrest the co-accused of the crime.

Md Hesamuddin further alleging that the police in collusion with the accused was trying to close the case, applied a formal request to the SP concerned to look into the matter.  

The accused have been identified as Ibemsana, wife of Md Anuwar of Kwakta No.2 and Md. Anuwar, son of late Md Alimuddin of Kwakta ward No. 2, was charged with tampering of evidence and their anticipatory bail order Criminal Miscellaneous (B) Case No. 192 of 2012, were rejected. However, the accused remained at large.

It may be recalled that Hasina (name changed) was reportedly assaulted and raped by Phundreimayum Thoiba alias Thoi, 25, son of Md Gaya alias Gayazuddin of Kwakta ward No. 8, PO & PS Moirang, Bishnupur district, on November 3, 2012 evening.

A case was registered with the Moirang Police, MRG-PS U/S 376/447/323/417 IPC.

Although the accused was arrested, but the two co-accused in the crime remained at large.
