IMPHAL, December 3: The 24th AR Khudengthabi post reportedly seized five M-16 assault rifles from an Imphal bound Tata Sumo vehicle coming from Moreh border town around 11 am this morning.
Reliable sources said that the AR also picked up five individuals including two ladies occupants of the Tata Sumo.
However, no official confirmation with regards to the arrest could be made till the filing of this report. On the other hand, another source identified the arrested women as Dimkhoning, 42, wife of Seiboi and Palkupam, 32, both from of Tuibong in Churachanpur. It added that the confiscate items consisted of four M-16 rifles, two magazines and one walkie-talkie set.
