IMPHAL, Dec 31: The Governor and chief minister of Manipur have sent their greetings on the occasion of the new year. Governor VK Duggal in his first message to the people of Manipur stated that “as we enter 2014, let us resolve to work together for creating harmony and perfect peace in all parts of Manipur … I join the people of Manipur in celebrating New Year Day 2014 and hope that the coming year will be much better and more prosperous.” Chief minister O Ibobi in his message stated that the new year will give us an opportunity to make a fresh and renewed beginning to all our resolves to work for our individual and collective well being. It urged the people to “resolve collectively to dedicate ourselves to building a peaceful, harmonious and prosperous Manipur.”
