JAC against the brutal killing of Manisana to hold violent protest

IMPHAL, December 17: As announced earlier, N Ranjit chairman of the JAC formed in connection with the killing of Manisana has informed IFP that a series of violent agitations will be launched at the soonest to decry the ineffectiveness of the home department in particular in the case.

He said regarding the broad day-light killing of vice-president, administration of the Manipur People Party, Haobijam Manisana in the morning of November 13 last at Tiddim road, the MPP on November 16 had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister to expedite the investigation and for swift justice to be administered.

However, there has been no positive response and another reminder was tendered to the same on November 20, resulting in the same effect.

It may be mentioned that there has been no positive breakthrough in the case still.

On December 9, the MPP organized a mass rally and submitted a memorandum to the Governor, this also failed to get the necessary response from the authorities.

On the said date, the JAC which was formed in connection with the killing had organized a press conference stating that if the government is unable to produce the culprits by December 15, it will resort to other forms of agitation.
