IMPHAL, Feb 28: There are presently 59 vacancies for doctors in the state Veterinary Department but there are no steps to fill the empty seats. Minister K Govindas answered to MLA of Andro, Th Shyamkumar today at the Assembly question hour. The minister also mentioned that there are supposed to be a total of 163 doctors for the Department but only 104 doctors are posted in the district veterinary offices at present.
