7th session of 10th State Assembly from today

IMPHAL, February 23: The seventh session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly will commence from tomorrow with the Governor of Manipur, VK Dugal address marking the opening session.

The assembly session will conclude on March 3rd and will have six sittings.

During the first session, the Governor’s address will be followed by motion motions of thanks to his address from the members of the house.

The first order of business will be presentation of Ninth Report of the Business Advisory Report Committee, 2012, reports by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi followed by presentation of supplementary demands for grants, 2013-14 and Budget Estimates, 2014.  

Moreover, the Chief Minister will move for leave to withdraw the Maipur Lokayukta Bill, 2011.

Altogether four Bills will be introduced during the first session.

The first three bills will be moved by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh which includes The Manipur Lokayukta Bill, 2014, The Manipur Public Service Commission (Additional Functions) Bills, 2014 and The Manipur Municipalities (Seventh Amendment) Bill, 2014 while Law and Revenue Minister, Th Devendra Singh also introduce the Manipur Land Revenue Reforms (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2014.
