IMPHAL, February 25: A cadre of the PREPAK (Pro) finance section who was arrested by the Imphal East Police and Guwahati City police on February 23 was brought back to Imphal today.
The militant cadre identified as Leishungbam Bheigyachandra alias LV Singh alias Bheigo, son of L Hemchandra of Andro Khunyai was brought back in an Indigo flight around 11.30am escorted by a team of Imphal East police.
According to a reliable source, Bheigo was arrested by a joint team of Imphal East police and Guwahati city police from a rented accommodation at Lokhra, Guwahati on the evening of February 23.
Sources also informed that Bheigo was working under Chamba, finance secretary of the outfit.
