IMPHAL, February 22: Each individual has a role in protecting its culture, said Okram Henry at the Echoes of Culture function organised by Federal Academy of Dance and Culture at Angom Mandap, Wangkhei Angom Leikai, in his address as chief guest.
Guru S Thanil Singh and Guru Ksh Thouranisabi was at the dais as president and guest of honour respectively.
Henry further added that there are vulnerabilities of culture because of rapid globalisation taking place. The youth should know their culture and tradition. Blind imitation of other culture should be avoided. In this aspect, organisation like the Federal Academy has a key role to play. Awareness programs should be taken out regularly, he added.
The function was attended by various artist as well.
