IMPHAL February 24: A minor fire broke out at the kitchen located in the first floor of the Classic Hotel on Monday creating panic among the guests, visitors and staffers of the hotel around 5.45pm. However, the timely arrival of the state fire service prevented it from causing major damages.
The incident happened at the hotel when a staff of the hotel witnessed plumes of fire in an exhaust chimney line of the kitchen located in the first floor and soon after the fire spread to the kitchen located in the top floor through the chimney pipe which connected all the kitchens inside the hotel.
The fire created panic to the guests, visitors, staffers of the Classic Hotel and came rushing out of the hotel soon after the incident.
There are no confirmations on what caused the fire till the filling of this report.
