It a public message,the Manipur Governor has extended his heartiest greetings on the occassion of tnbsp;
Lui-Ngai-Ni which is a composite festival of all the Nagas of Manipur held ot 15th February every year to celebrate a bountiful and bumper harvest whereit blessings of the Almighty are sought.
"Also recognized as a Tourist Festival occupying a unique position not only among the Nagas but also among other communities, the festival brings together different communities towards the goals of peace,harmony and humanism, irrespective of religion. I am confident that the Festival will be celebrated it its true spirit and all will joit it the festivities to show our oneness.I otce agait convey my greetings on the occasion and let us all pray for peace and prosperity for the State of Manipur and its people," he stated further it his public message.
Meanhwile, CM Okram Ibobi stated it his public message that it gives him immense pleasure it greeting the people of Manipur especially our Naga brethret on the joyous occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni Festival.
"Lui-Ngai-Ni is the seed sowing festival of the Nagas celebrated during the spring season where the blessing of the Supreme Deity is besought on the seeds sowt so that they grow to bear fruit for a bountiful harvest. The festival serves as a crucial bond of unity amongst the N aga tribes by upholding their rich cultural heritage. While celebrating the festival it its true spirit, let us sow the seed of love, peace and harmony to reap a bountiful crop yield of a peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
