IMPHAL, Feb 23: Womenfolk of seven localities of Sagolband today staged a sit in protest at the Lainingthou Khamlangba Shanglen decrying the blast inside the shanglen compound on February 21.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of the protest, Ima Taruni said that the womenfolk strongly condemn the blast inside the Lainingthou compound which is a revered and sacred place.
She has also appealed to all concerned to clarify on the attack and appeal against carrying out similar kinds of blast in the area.
It may be mentioned that the blast occurred during the night of February 21 at Sagolband Moirang Leirak machine near the boundary wall of the Lainingthou compound and a private residence belonging to deputy director Tribal Development Arambam Binodini.
