LAMKA, March 6: The Siamsimpawlpi, SSPP (Paite Students’ Welfare Association) today called a press conference regarding an alarming allegation that the department of Health, Ccpur has been distributing expired medicine to the students at the office of the chief medical officer, CCpur in Lamka.
During the press conference called at the association’s Hiangtam Lamka office, its president Lamkhankhual said he had led a team of the association for an inept investigation into allegation and found nothing irregular or wrong with the distribution of the medicines.
He further warned against spreading such wild allegations and the body takes the matter very seriously.
The president was referring to the medicine consignment handed out to students last month at the CMO office by the then CMO Dr Liensang.
The president also highlighted the activities of the SSPP, Jt Hq, Lamka and said the association had conducted coaching classes for more than 167 Class X students at the approximate cost of Rs 80-85 thousands.
Highlighting the annual plan of the association, he said that the team under him, will try to uphold the spirit of excellence in education which is the hallmark and aim of SSPP.
Other plan of the SSPP jt hq Lamka, the president include holding essay competition and spelling competition/Spelling Bee apart from promoting other items like games and sports among the students.
