IMPHAL, April 9: There is no dynasty like the Gandhi dynasty which can sacrifice for safeguarding the integrity of India, save it from the breakdown of its unity and democracy in India. This was stated by Heingang MLA Nongthombam Biren on Wednesday in an election campaign for the Congress candidate Thokchom Meinya, the incumbent MP, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls at Heingang.
There is no such political party in India which has sacrificed for the integrity of India other than the Gandhi dynasty. Indira Gandhi was forced to order to conduct ‘Condor Operation’ in the Golden Temple of Punjab against the Sikhs to save India because the Khalistan movement was backed by Pakistan and to suppress the movement which might have disrupted India’s Integrity. Rajeev Gandhi was also killed for sending peace keeping force to Sri Lanka while trying to bring peace. But he was killed on a misunderstanding by Tamil Tiger leaders who presumed that he was going to suppress their movement, he said.
He said that ECI will get regret its decision of recommending and recognising the NPF party for contesting outside Nagaland state. NSCN-IM cadres conducted undercover ambushes to the state machinery earlier but after the ECI’s recognition, NSCN-IM is conducting ambushes and campaigning openly in broad daylight in our state on behalf of NPF.
“Rio has intensions of grabbing land from Manipur that’s why he sacrificed the CM post and is in the fray for the MP seat. He is in alliance with the BJP at centre and has been offered a cabinet minister post by the BJP if it comes to power.”
A Heingang block congress committee member said that the campaign was conducted because the Outer constituency poll would be over on Wednesday. The Congress party is accelerating its election campaign for the Inner constituency seat.
Meanwhile, the Heingang block congress committee also organised an election campaign for Th Meinya for the ensuing 16th Lok Sabha election at Heingang Kangjeibung community hall.
